Today Netscout announced that they will acquire Psytechnics, a leading provider of performance management technology that enables organisations to proactively assure the user experience for unified communications. With offices in Ipswich, UK and Portsmouth, USA, Psytechnics are expect to strengthen Netscout’s Unified Service Delivery Management strategy by delivering comprehensive management of IP Voice, Video and Telepresence service delivery.

"With the acquisition of Psytechnics, NetScout will gain critical technology and expertise that will help us continue to build on our foundation strategy of Packet-Flow intelligence and accelerate our innovation to address our customers’ growing Unified Communications footprint,” said Anil Singhal, president and CEO of Netscout.

Key features of Psytechnic’s Experience Manager include granular real-time visibility into user Quality of Experience (QoE), and support for a broad compliment of Unified Communications services with multi-vendor support.

Whilst advancing their Unified Communications assurance technology, Psytechnics are also bringing a team of industry-leading engineers to Netscout. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2012.
